She is a founding member of specialist medical services including; The Indian Menopause society in Chennai, The Apollo Diabetes Centre; is actively involved in medial outreach programmes, has extensive work and research experience in renowned Indian and international institutions. Dr Gopal is a published author of a historical fiction novel, the recipient of a “Vocational Excellence Award” from The Rotary Club, a star student who won awards and accolades in her academic pursuits and an active researcher and academician. Her interests and involvement pan from medical research, philanthropic pursuits and writing works inspired by Indian History.
